♥♥February is Heart Month ♥♥

Did you know that February is Heart month in Canada?  A month to bring awareness to heart disease and healthy living. Having a healthy heart is very important. Little things can make a big difference. You can change your diet, exercise or get involved in volunteering to help the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
I always like when the schools participate in Jump Rope for Heart.  The kids would raise money and then get to skip for a set amount of time during school. They always would come home with a skipping rope to keep.
Check out the web link above.  You can get heart healthy recipes, health information and much more. If you get a chance, pop over and see what you can learn 🙂
Do you know the 5 signs of a stroke?  I didn’t until I visited The Heart and Stroke Foundation.

The five signs
Stroke can be treated. That’s why it is so important to recognize and respond to the warning signs.
Weakness – Sudden loss of strength or sudden numbness in the face, arm or leg, even if temporary.
Trouble speaking – Sudden difficulty speaking or understanding or sudden confusion, even if temporary.
Vision problems – Sudden trouble with vision, even if temporary.
Headache – Sudden severe and unusual headache.
Dizziness – Sudden loss of balance, especially with any of the above signs.
