A video was being shared by many of my friends on Facebook and I clicked the link. I was not really sure what to expect. It was titled “Dear 16 year old me” Half way into the video I knew I had to post it here and share with all of you. I am not sure if it was the ginger comment or the fact that it made me tear up, but I knew it had to be posted. Please watch and share with your loved ones.

Honestly- Thank you for posting this. My Mother had Melanoma and it was removed a few years ago. She seems to be fine now but it was scary. A while ago I noticed one of the moles under my armpit seemingly is darker- I have been putting off talking to the doctor about it because I am scared- Now I know I NEED to go. I just called and made an appointment. Thanks Again!
I am so happy you made an appointment. It is very scary and very sad. I know myself I have had a few really bad sun burns as a teen. This video really moved me like no other. I hope it gives a few people the bump they need to make an apt.

AMAZING Video – as someone who works in a cancer hospital I see on a daily basis the changes we can make in our lives to prevent this horrible disease
THANK YOU!!! My cousin struggled and died from Melanoma at age 34. He was a beloved husband and dad-to-be. His death was a tragedy especially because we all thought he had successfully beaten melanoma after treatment when he was 18. It lay in wait for 15 years before attacking again.Anyone who has experienced a severe sunburn is at risk. Even if it was 30 years ago when you were 5. Your skin does not need a 'healthy' glow, radiation glows. If you notice something unusual, don't wait, get it checked out asap.

Thanks for sharing this is a very moving video and makes you really think. My dad had cancer not skin cancer but bone cancer and it was from chemicals he worked around for over 30 years. 🙁 We all need to take care of our bodies in any way we can.
