Making Your Own Bubbles

So not even a week has passed since Christmas and my youngest has spilled all of her bubbles for her bubble machine. You know, one of those noisy toys that sits on the counter making bubbles for hours at a time sucking up all the batteries you have in the drawers and remotes. Since everything has been closed for the last few days and it being winter and all, I figured finding bubbles would be a difficult task. we decided to make our own. I searched on the web and got a few ideas. Of course we have always made our own bubbles in the summer, but they are never very full or shiny. I think I figured out how to do this.  Here are the recipes I have found for making bubbles at home.

This one was found all over. However I did not have any glycerine or corn syrup on hand

Bubble Recipe

1/2 cup of dish detergent
5 cups water
2 tablespoons glycerine. You can substitute light corn syrup (not golden syrup!)
Mix the ingredients together very carefully, so that you they don’t get too bubbly. Pour into storage containers and, if possible, leave overnight to blend.

Easy Home made bubbles
1/2 cup of dish soap liquid
2 cups of water
2 teaspoons of sugar
Add a dab of food coloring for colorful bubbles. Mix the solution and place in a pan or refill your old bubble containers.
