Recipe Holiday Cheer Punch

Last night I stopped into the LCBO (Liquor store to everyone in most of the world and country). While there I was taken in by all the holiday variations and options. So many festive drinks. Shiny packaging and great gift ideas. I picked up my usual four pack of mudslides and then decided to also get myself some Spiced Eggnog I was happy I did, it was delicious 🙂

Any how, on the way out I also grabbed one of their “12 easy ways to an easy holiday” books. In it I found all kind of recipes and ideas for entertaining. When we entertain a large crowd we like to have a drink that many would enjoy. So when I saw a recipe for Holiday Cheer Punch I got excited. We will have beer and other spirits, but the punch will be our main drink. So here is the recipe if you would like to make it for your guests

Holiday Cheer Punch
In punch bowl add 1 cup of Whiskey, 1/2 cup of Cherry Whiskey,1/2 cup of lemon juice, 1/2 cup of cinnamon clove syrup (combine 1 cup of sugar, 1 cinnamon stick, 5 whole cloves and 1 cup of boiling water. Stir till dissolved and cool) and 2 cups of cranberry juice.
Stir then pour into glasses filled with ice with lemon wheels in each glass.
Garnish with star anise
