Natalie’s review
I have to start off by saying that I love wearing jewellery! Before I had kids, I would wear a necklace everyday to work. It made me feel pretty and I felt good about myself. Fast forward 7 and a half years later, and all those said necklaces are languishing away in my poor old jewellery cabinet. Why? Because, well really, who can wear necklaces around babies and toddlers? They are a choking hazard for one, and they would get chewed on, yanked on, and be totally demolished within minutes of the little ones setting their sights on them.

So, when I was finally given the chance to look fashionable again, without the worries of a piece of jewellery that could get eaten or ruined by grabbing little hands, I jumped at it! Finally, a product that both mommy and baby could appreciate! The miracle product? The Rock•ease teething necklace by Teethease.

The necklace I received was light green in colour, and consisted of 28 soft “rocks” made from a flexible silicone material. The colourful chunky rocks looked very realistic and fashionable, and not at all like a typical baby teether. As a precaution, before wearing the necklace around the baby, I decided to wash it thoroughly, and as per Teethease’s instructions that it could “take a bath in the dishwasher”, I decided that that was exactly what I was going to do with it.

When it was finished being washed, I loved the clean, fresh dishes smell of it. As soon as I put the necklace on, and picked up the baby, he was mesmerized with it. He grabbed each “rock” and looked at it carefully before he started to gnaw away at it. He had a great time pulling at the necklace, and he even tried to give it to me to eat as well. At one point, when I was putting him down, he tugged down hard on the necklace, and it unclasped at the back, like it was supposed to do at the safe breakaway clasp. My 10 month old loves to play with it, and it keeps him busy for several minutes at a time. This necklace is definitely going to be my everyday fashion accessory this year!
