Academy Award®–nominated director/writer Peter Hedges (“Dan in Real Life,” What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?”) brings enchantment to the screen with “The Odd Life of Timothy Green,” an inspiring, magical story about a happily married couple, Cindy and Jim Green (Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton), who can’t wait to start a family but can only dream about what their child would be like. When young Timothy suddenly comes into the lives of Cindy and Jim Green, they learn that sometimes the unexpected can bring some of life’s greatest gifts.

Amy’s Review
An utterly delightful movie with a wonderful cast. Jennifer Garner shone and I must admit she is one of my very few favourite actresses. The movie is a Disney one, but this one is aimed more at adults than the kids but you can absolutely bring them along as there is something for all.

Your heart breaks along with the main characters when they find out children aren’t an option for them biologically, and your heart bursts when Timothy arrives. It is simply a wonderful story about how love and dreams do come true, even if the process can be unexpected.

Families come in all shapes and forms and this movie showcases that. It is full of wonderful messages and shows that not everyone is perfect and that we should embrace these differences. Isn’t that wonderful? I loved it. It is a lovely movie that all ages can and will enjoy.
