Holiday Reading from Scholastic Canada

Scholastic Canada has been a great source for books in our home ever since our oldest started school. Now we get book orders for the two youngest and love it. It is very exciting for the kids to go through and pick out a book each time. I love that the order helps the class and the school. The value of the books is fantastic. A little something for every budget. And having a huge collection of books for my family, I have never been disappointed with the quality.

With the holidays coming up so quickly like they do, I was sent three fabulous reads from Scholastic Canada to share with my kids. I wish I could say I set them aside as gifts, but I can not keep secrets. Plus I just had to read Robert Munch and Micheal Martchenko’s first ever holiday book.   This has quickly become DD’s favourite book. We have been reading it very day, three times a day, She is almost four and loves the repetition of the book. The enthusiasm and the funny character drawings is classic and expected in this duos books. Now DD is starting to “read” or memorize and repeat this book herself. It really is a fun way to get excited about Christmas.

Every single Christmas, Julie finds the presents her mom and dad have hidden. But this year, the presents are nowhere to be found! Have her parents decided not to have Christmas at all?

Robert Munsch and Michael Martchenko bring their signature brand of humour to this warm holiday story.

The other two books we got are about Dinosaurs and the holidays. The big colourful drawings in these books add to the fun stories. The size of the print is perfect for early readers. We have been having a lot of fun reading about the dinosaurs and the holidays.
There is a huge selection of “How do Dinosaurs…“books if your child(ren) enjoy them.
How Do Dinosaurs Say Merry Christmas

40 Pages
Ages 0-4
9″ x 12″
From decorating the tree to wrapping presents, little dinosaurs love to celebrate Christmas — and everything about it. With ornaments on the branches and carolers singing at the door, the spirit of Christmas is finally here and filling the hearts of families everywhere. But when the stockings are hung on the chimney, and the cookies are left out for Santa, how can little dinosaurs go to sleep? It’s so exciting! How can they possibly calm down and behave?

Children will laugh out loud as dinosaurs secretly lick candy canes, take sneaky peeks at gifts, and disrupt the traditional family feast. With holiday surprises around every corner, the award winning team of Jane Yolen and Mark Teague create an engaging, fun gift sure to be read again and again, year after year.

These books would make wonderful, thoughtful gifts for children in your life. Definitely exactly what I have come to expect from Scholastic.
