This year I have made some big choices. I have made the choice to look at my life and my health a little bit differently. I have always been somewhat comfortable in my skin but realized I am over weight. I have started to seriously watch what I eat and I have a goal in mind for my weight loss. Looking at my parents and their families I see what being overweight can do to your health. I want to be here for my children and I want to be healthy. I am not even half way through my living yet. I look forward to eating right, exercising and enjoying being active. Being overweight has really made aspects of my life tough. I find I get depressed and I have various health issues. My body aches and sleep is not the best at times. I do not usually make resolutions, but this one is important to me. I am going to take one day at a time and start keeping a log of my progress. I have started walking and taking the stairs whenever possible. I am really testing my willpower this time around. I need to keep reminding myself of the end result and push forward. It is harder than you would think.

A few things I am cutting out are sweets, fast food and eating at night. I am also making an effort to eat in the morning and to take my vitamins.

While it sounds like a lot – I think if it doesn't fit into those categories there is a very high likelihood that this year I'll pass on it. Kind of a looking inward year making my home comfortable, my body comfortable, and being able to enjoy the people I love while making better financial choices.
