RISE OF THE GUARDIANS received outstanding audience reactions and a coveted ‘A’ Cinemascore.  DreamWorks Animation’s newest animated adventure has captured the imagination of audiences worldwide with a fun-filled and magical story about the legendary guardians—Jack Frost, the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and Sandman—together for the first time!  When the evil Pitch threatens to take over the world, it’s up to our beloved heroes to protect the hopes and dreams of children everywhere.  Filled with non-stop action and laughs, it’s a dazzling family film that’s being hailed as “an instant classic” (Nancy Jay, Daybreak USA).

Just in time for Easter, RISE OF THE GUARDIANS will be available in a Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy Pack with UltraViolet™ or single-disc DVD, each of which includes two delightful hopping toy eggs inspired by the ones seen in the film (while supplies last—quantities are limited).  The combo pack and single-disc DVD also include special features that take viewers behind-the-scenes to learn more about the magic used to bring the story to life.

Featuring an all-star cast of voice talent including Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher and Jude Law, RISE OF THE GUARDIANS delivers humor, adventure and exceptional entertainment that the whole family can enjoy.  The film will also be available on March 12th in a three-disc Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy Pack with UltraViolet and for digital download on February 26th.

rise of the guardians

Another fabulous movie from Dream Works. As most Dream Works movies, I found this to be a great watch for myself and my older kids. The characters were more hip than they are normally portrayed and the humor is geared towards an older audience. I allowed my youngest to watch it but she got distracted and did not sit through it with us. My boys, 12 and 14 loved it and have been talking about it since we watched it. It is a great “Holiday” themed movie you can watch any time of year. It was fantastic to see how they changed up the characters as well. Santa with tattoos and the Tooth Fairy with  but of a creepy side was great. The Easter Bunny was a real cool character as were the other Guardians.

We enjoyed this movie with our viewing pack and had a blast. All the kids enjoyed the treats which included chocolates and PEEPS. The Rise of the Guardians night light is very cute and so appropriate as my daughter feels they are looking over her at night 🙂 Stickers, games and spring swag is a a lot of fun. I can not wait to take the printed bag out with me on a shopping trip I know I am going to get some compliments on it for sure. If you have older kids like me I think this movie will be a big hit for your family. I was surprised my daughter was not more into it, but maybe it was a bit too old for her. Another hit for the entire family in my opinion.

  1. That is a very cute Easter set for the kids. My kids loved this movie when we saw it in the theatre and they really enjoyed how cool Santa looked. I know they want to see it again which is why I made sure to add it to my Blockbuster @Home queue through DISH. When I was working my shift at DISH the other day one of my friends reminded me it came out this week. I love that with my Blockbuster @Home it is delivered straight to my door when it is available, because I don’t have to go hunt it down at a Redbox.
