Fun things to do with the family in Grand Bend Ontario

Located just an hour outside London Ontario Grand Bend is known for their sandy beaches, cute shops and camping. Lots and lots of camping. Many teens in south western Ontario know Grand Bend as the place to party all summer long. The long weekends fill up with people and the small town really gets hopping.  Grand Bend is not only for teens or people who want to party. It is also a great place for family’s to visit as well as couples and seniors.  There are so many family friendly attractions you will surely be busy for your entire trip. It does not matter if you are visiting Grand Bend for the day or for a week, you will have lots to do and see.

Family friendly activities in Grand Bend Ontario 

• Go to the beach
• Visit the museum
• Shopping, lots and lots of shopping on the main street
• Restaurants, including an old School house, saloon and more
• Get an ice cream at one f the many ice cream kiosks 
• Farmers market on Wednesdays in the Colonial parking lot 
• Flea market Pinery Antique Flea Market is open Sundays and is a great way to spend the day 
• Go camping Pinery provincial park is one of many local camp grounds for tenting, trailers and even yurts 
• Grand Bend Motorplex is open all summer long and has many great weekends for family’s 
• See a movie at the drive in Starlite Drive in plays the most recent movies and has great prices. Long weekends also have extra features quite often 
• Splash pad for kids with playground located just before the beach
• Mini gold on the strip
• Boating
• Beach Volley ball
• Parasailing in Grand Bend as well as boat tours and Banana boat rides  

The choices for accommodation are endless as well. There are many campgrounds in the ares, motels and cabins to rent. Grand Bend is a great place to spend the lazy days of summer with loved ones.
