Back to School with Mott¹s Fruitsations + Veggie fruit snacks #MOTTSBTS

Where exactly has the summer gone?
Boy time flies when you are having fun! We have had a great summer, but like all good things it is slowly coming to an end. Back to school is almost upon us here, for some it has already started. This means for us, routines, schedules and planning is in order. I have three school aged children at home still. So three lunches are needing to be packed every day.

My youngest is going into senior Kindergarten. She is a nibbler and very picky when it comes to eating. Mix this in with allergy restrictions at her school and we have a bit of an obstacle. Our school has a no dairy (spillable dairy, yogurt, pudding, milk etc) policy as well it is nut free (most schools are)

So what do I do?

Well I usually send more than I need to four my youngest’s lunches. I figure, give her options and have her bring home what she does not eat. Prepackaged snacks, juice boxes (sometimes frozen to keep lunch cool) , cheese ( it is not spillable dairy so it is allowed) , smoked meats (pepperoni, salami etc) and fruit are all good options.

Lately my youngest has been pickier than usual. Even fruits are a challenge to get her to eat. Mott’s Fruitsations + Veggie fruit snacks are a perfect solution.

Mott’s Fruitsations + Veggie fruit snacks will be offered in two great flavours: Assorted Fruit and Berry. Great-tasting, with hidden veggies, 80 calories per package and gluten-free, all Mott’s Fruitsations are naturally-flavoured making them the perfect lunch box essential or for snack time, after school or on-the-go.

My daughter loves these and has no idea they have real fruit and veggies in them. If you are looking for a Gluten Free snack these are a great option for you as well. Plus they are super tasty! These will surely be in our lunch boxes this year. With the Mott’s Fruitsations + Veggie fruit snacks the only problem I will have is the kids not wiping them out when home. I need to find a good hiding place for them 🙂

  1. My youngest is very picky about vegetables and "candies" like Motts Fruitsations is sometimes what we have to resort to to get him to eat them. I've tasted these before and surprisingly they don't taste like veggies at all which I can see why it's appealing to some picky eaters. This is definitely on the snack list when he starts school this September.

My kids like these "fruit and veggie snacks". I know that they are not as ideal as the real thing but as a lunch treat, I don't mind using them over other processed cookies and candies.

Thanks for the heads up on the contest! We try to keep it as healthy as possible — carrots and hummus is a favourite.

  7. I kid you not, I kept reading this as Mott's Frustrations. I won't tell you about my day, but I couldn't figure out why Mott's was frustrated lol. These look delish, and I love how they sneak in the veggies for more finicky palettes!

  10. We haven't tried the Mott's Fruit and Vegi snacks yet! My kids have ALWAYS loved fruit snacks…let's see I have a 34 year old that STILL loves them and all my kids at home are teens and still eat them…I don't know what it is about them but YUM! LOL Going to have to try!

  11. I like how your school has the spillable allergy precautions. My son is allergic to milk, and I would of felt comfortable if this was implemented.

These fruit snacks are perfect for sneaking in veggies. I usually send my son in with sandwich, juice, fruit, and some kind of dessert.

Definitely entered the contest. Thank you

I bought a dehydrator when my kids were little so I could make my own "fruit roll ups" without the chemicals and less expensively.

  24. look healthly alternatives to candy

  25. Thanks for sharing this insightful information!

  26. I have not tried these fruit snacks. I'll have to get the fruit and veggie ones for my grandkids. I don't think there was ever a restricted food list in school when I was a kid. So many kids have allergies now that I'm not surprised though. My two year old grandson is highly allergic to all tree nuts. He can have peanuts though.

  27. Dov Shapira says

I bet it's a great treat for kids, I'd like to try some myself.

  28. lol! ranting gingers! love the concept!

  29. Great information for parents of picky eaters. And for those that don't eat their veggies. I was pretty lucky with my girls. They actually picked fruit and stuff for their snacks on their own.
