Homework Solutions from Oxford Learning #OxfordMindsCan Contest ALERT!

Homework is a part of life. No matter how hard you try, you just can not avoid it. Having four children I know this all too well. every parent wants to be able to help their children succeed and give them the tools and knowledge needed to do well. Sometimes this is not possible. I always thought I would be able to help my children with their homework if needed. That was until they brought home math and high school homework I had never seen before.

Our children are learning differently than we did. Their classes are different and their difficulty levels vary. Schools these days expect all families to have computers in the home and access to the internet. In this every changing world it is hard for parents to always keep up.

Parents need to know there is help and resources out there.

My teen son has struggled off and on. We found he needed a different way of learning. He has to have headphones and listen to music. If the teacher doe snot click with him, we have had to go else where for help. It has worked well for us. We found for him, the music, his own space and lots of time is good. He can start a project or homework and come back to it as needed.

Each child is different and each studies in their own way. As parents we need to find what works best for our kids to succeed.

  1. This is such a great resource, especially with curriculum and teaching methods changing all the time!

  2. What a useful site! I'm finding I'm not sure what my third grader's homework is asking half the time- we're using a tutoring program (in the states) and I think it's worth every penny!

  3. Miss R’s only in grade 1 but our homework habit is to do it right after school every day.

This sounds like a great resource. No homework yet here, but hopefully it won't be an issue!

  5. I never heard of Oxford but I know that many schools just can't do what they should and so many kids aren't learning.

We do homework as soon as I get the kids from school but it is sometimes a struggle. I would love to try this out.
