My teen son has struggled off and on. We found he needed a different way of learning. He has to have headphones and listen to music. If the teacher doe snot click with him, we have had to go else where for help. It has worked well for us. We found for him, the music, his own space and lots of time is good. He can start a project or homework and come back to it as needed. 

Each child is different and each studies in their own way. As parents we need to find what works best for our kids to succeed.
