How to Roast Pumpkin seeds

One of our favourite things to do this time of year is roast Pumkin seeds. Do you know how to roast pumpkin seeds? It is actually so easy and you can season however you like. we have three children at home still so we always have at least three Jack o Lanterns to carve. This makes for a lot of leftover seeds.

These salty treats are so tasty the entire family enjoys them. We put seasoning salt on ours and this has been my fave way to eat them since I was a small child.

To roast pumpkin seeds you needs to scoop all the seeds out of the pumpkin. You then wash and strain. Try to clean off any leftover pumpkin. Spread out on a cookie sheet and turn the oven on at 350F. Season to taste with seasoning salt. Place in over for 30 minutes or until golden and toasted. Remove from oven, cool and enjoy.

Some people like to put brown sugar or cinnamon on them as well.

I've never tried roasting pumpkin seeds, I know my children love eating sunflower seeds so this might be worth a try too, especially since Halloween is coming up quickly
