Places to Eat in Toronto Citrus at the Grand Hotel

During my recent stay at The Grand Hotel in Toronto , I had the pleasure to eat at The Citrus restaurant for dinner and breakfast.  Breakfast was included with our stay int eh hotel. It was no ordinary breakfast. There were many choices of pastries, juices and hot food. There was sausage, bacon, eggs and hash-browned potatoes. Truly a wonderful breakfast.

The dining room has a layout that allows you to see the outdoors with ease. There are high stools around large tables on the upper level making it great for groups. As well as couches and comfortable leather chairs on the lower level for more intimate dining.  There is also a bar and a sushi station with sushi made fresh to order.

The staff of the Citrus restaurant were wonderful. Very quick and pleasant. The food was great and the atmosphere unlike any I have ever experienced.

For dinner we had a fabulous meal. Appetizers, drinks and dessert.

We sat on the lower level in comfy elegant leather seats. Great for conversation and a long visit. I ordered the Striped Bass and it was delicious. One friend had the sushi.  I also had French Onion soup, which was so good.  For dessert I had Strawberry Shortcake and took it to my room 🙂

Citrus Dinner

The lunch and dinner menu are both available to view online.

If you are in the area I recommend you stopping by and checking it out. You will be happy you did. the food is fabulous!

The figs in this dish were so good.

My Strawberry Shortcake. It was almost too pretty to eat.

Have you dined at The Citrus restaurant before? What did you think?

  1. I've not been there, but I gotta say, that Strawberry Shortcake is beautiful. Presentation means a lot to me 🙂

  2. I love the restaurant name! The food looks delicious. I always love dining out, probably because I don't get to do it very often. I'll be in Toronto in a few weeks but I don't think that's the hotel I'm going too. Maybe someday I'll get to try it!

  3. I have never been to Citrus, but always looking for a new experience when we dine in T.O. Thanks for keeping them on my radar now 🙂
