Shopping for my Teen with Angry Birds™ Visa® Prepaid Card #AngryBirdsPrepaid & Twitter Party alert

I have four children, three are teenagers. So as you can imagine, this adds up expense wise every month. My thirteen year old son loves video games! You may have heard me refer to him as my “tech guy” before. He loves gadgets and figuring things out as well. Give him a challenge and he will sit there for as long as it takes to figure it out. I think this is why he loves games, an ongoing challenge to get to the next level. So when I had the opportunity to go shopping with him and use an Angry Birds™ Visa® Prepaid Card , I knew this was perfect ! Usually the kids get some money and it is burning a hole in their pocket. Gone before we know it. This card would let them stay within a budget and has a fun look to it too.

Being the third child, he often gets overlooked when it comes to shopping. Up until the last few years he was able to still wear his brothers hand me downs. And really, he is such a quiet kids I often forget he wants things because he never asks. He was thrilled to be able to get something for himself. So we headed to the mall and I let him pick out a few items for him.

So what does a teen want if you let them go wild with their own Visa? My son picked a Nerf gun, some brand name PJ pants a Hex Bug and some other items. Using the card was super easy anywhere that accepts Visa. I was able to register it online (confirmed by phone because I always do to be safe) Registering the card gave us a pin so we could also do cash withdrawals if we came upon a store that did not take Visa.  I love the fact this is re-loadable. My kids are always needing money for something and being older, they are on their own shopping often. So I can load up their card and since it is registered have the security knowing it is safe.

The Angry Birds™ Visa® Prepaid Card is a fun gift to give anyone on your list that would like to do a little shopping on their own.

What a neat idea! Can't wait to hear more!

  2. You are so right! What a great gift idea for teens! And I love how you chose your youngest teen to splurge on himself. I like how you can reload it and also make cash withdrawals too! That is such a handy feature to have that is different from other gift cards. I am going to get one of these for my 12 almost 13 year old. He would love it. Thanks so much for sharing.
