The A to Z of Children’s Health book

Long before the internet we all relied on family, friends and books for advice and info. Being a mom is no different. I actually still prefer to look things up in a book. Sometimes if something is seeming off and I Google it, I find all kinds of scary things. Luckily for me we have pretty much seen it all and been through it and come back. That is what happens when you have 4 kids in a wide spread time. Whatever is happening to the 5 year old health wise, chances are it had happened to the other three who are now teens at some point. I am more often the one giving the advice and the words of encouragement than the one seeking it.

There are a few reference books I like to keep on hand still. Books that are easy to flip through and find exactly what I am looking for. Big bold, headings, bright pictures and index and contents pages that help navigate every step of the way. One book I recently have been checking out to help with my children’s health is The A to Z of Children’s Health book.

Pampers wants to arm Canadian parents with resources to promote baby’s happy, healthy development. Sure to become your go-to health and wellness guide, The A to Z of Children’s Health is an indispensable reference that will solve every parent’s health query.

Written by pediatric experts, Dr. Jeremy Friedman, Dr. Natasha Saunders and Dr. Norman Saunders, from the world-renowned Hospital for Sick Children, this comprehensive and contemporary guide covers over 235 childhood conditions and illnesses – from diaper rash to remedies for the common cold.  The easy-to-read format will guide you through questions about your child’s health, providing practical tips and strategies that may help avoid countless hours of waiting in a doctor’s office or emergency room.

Armed with the support from pediatric experts at your fingertips, refer to this helpful resource to solve your next health related query from the “What can I do” section of A to Z, which includes:

  1. Bed wetting
  2. Bullying
  3. Diaper rash
  4. Teething
  5. Temper tantrums

Sometimes as parents we just need to know we are not alone. We need to see what our child/family is going through is happening elsewhere. Children get sick, most are common illnesses and do not last long. It is still comforting to read up on it and have some help at your finger tips. The A to Z of Children’s Health book is for parents who have children aged 0-10. Filled with diagrams, charts and easy to read information this is a great book for all parents to have on hand. Night terrors, teething, chicken pox and more are covered in this book. It would be a fabulous gift for new parents and old.
