Often when you are married or in a relationship for many years you forget about Valentine’s day. Having children I find, takes the romance out of a relationship as your priorities are shifted to the kids. But before the kids, before the bills and before all of this, you were and are a couple.
It is important to date your spouse!
Be friends and connect one on one. Remember why you are together in the first place.
I know Valentine’s day is a great holiday for the greeting card companies and floral boutiques. But it is a day that reminds you to remember the one you love. Sometimes when you have a family date night is not a possibility. Finds, time or even a sitter can be hard to figure out. But trust me, it is worth the effort. Even a coffee or lunch date can do wonders to your life and your love. Ideally a weekend getaway would be nice but reality is that I know this is impossible for me and many of you. So I have rounded up some fun ideas for Valentine’s Day Date night. Some are recipes, some are gifts. Hopefully they will help spark your imagination and you can enjoy Valentine’s Day this year in a unique and fun way!

I haven't done anything special with the hubby on Valentine's Day since we had the kids. Maybe this year we'll do something different.
Wishing you a lovely day.
