When your day feels like a Country Western Song

Do you ever have those days?

When you are late to every appointment, you spill something on your shirt and just as it starts looking up, it rains. I use to laugh when people would say their life was like a country western song. But now, it is just sad. I feel like mine is some days. I use the country song reference as they often feel sad and down. Somebody lost their job or their girl ran out on them. Nothing seems to go well. All I am missing is the cowboy singing with his guitar.

For me, my washer broke, I drove into a ditch and my my furnace is on its way out….. No furnace in the middle of winter is not a good thing. So that is a priority. Actually if may not be the furnace as must as the thermostat. So hopefully it is affordable and easy to resolve. But no washing machine with two teen age boys is also a disaster. I do 4 loads of laundry a day and that is a light day. As much as I would love a new washer and dryer, a fancy set. It is not in the cards and will not be happening any time soon. For now we will get it fixed and call a handy washing machine repair man to come over and fix it like new.  I am so looking forward to the summer when the kids have less bulky laundry and I can hang it all to dry.

Yesterday felt like Tuesday all day and today feels like Monday. I should really just roll with the punches but it is easy to dwell on everything that goes wrong. If I was to write about everything that was broken, wrong or sad we would have a novel here.

So I will focus on the good. Fix what needs to be fixed and hope for the best.

After all, tomorrow is a new day…

I think we have all been there! Hopefully you get your washer up and running again soon. And fingers crossed that it is just the thermostat.

I hope it works out for you and you end up with some good ideas for new posts and a few good humorous stories for the future. Until then just "keep on keeping on." Good luck.
