What is your Heart age?

Knowledge is power and we all know the risks of heart disease. The factors that affect us and what we should do to be healthy. But do we do what needs to be done to maintain a healthy heart? I recently checked my heart health using the Heart Age Calculator on the Shoppers Drug Mart website. It helps calculate the cardiovascular age and assesses your risk of heart attack and stroke. I thought the results were not going to be good, but was surprised that they were not that bad. I am pretty close to my age for my heart health age. I need to do some things like, lose weight, be more active and pay close attention to my cholesterol levels. I am not a smoker, but smoking is only one factor that creates risk. My heart health age is older than I actually am.
