One thing I love to encourage with my youngest is to express herself. Know what she likes and embrace it. Express her personality and sense of style. as long as what she is wearing is age appropriate, no harm. Sometimes Little one loves bright colours and other times she loves layer. A few times we had to remind her of the weather though. No flip flops in winter and hoodies make no sense in summer lol. But her style is a direct expression of her personality and I love seeing what she picks out.

I love watching what my kids pick out of their closets to wear! Expressing oneself is very important and seeing as I have tattoos on my body (and plan to get more) and many visible piercings… on my face… I am clearly a huge fan of self expression!

I like your daughter's style! My daughter started dressing herself at 18 months, as she had a very strong sense of what she likes to wear. What a fun Barbie contest with a great prize! My daughter still loves the Barbie dolls and movies.

My boys (especially the oldest) loves to express himself with clothing! He has his own sense of style and doesn't really care whether others like it or not! Neither of my boys are into barbies though – but I will pass this along to a few friends with kids that are!
