March 20 has been declared the International Day of Happiness; a day to inspire action for a happier world. What makes you and your family happy? Is it a song you sing together, a favourite family recipe or a place you love to visit? Is there a new addition to the family? Or perhaps happiness is spending quality time with a friend, family member or elderly neighbour.
My children make me happy. Especially my five year old. See she is a lot younger than the rest. You can almost call her our surprise 🙂 When the other three were little and going through all that kids go through, I never appreciated things. Being a busy mom to three small children you are go go go all the time. Now that they are teens, I have the time and the patience to appreciate the little things. Songs and stories she tells. Pictures she makes me and crafts we do together. Her smile can make me happy no matter how bad of a day I am having. Her sweet nature is recognized by all. I love my family and my children mean the world to me. However she is our special gift. Our chance to step back and appreciate every little thing around us.
I asked her to share with me what makes her happy. We created a collage by printing off some fave pics as well as cutting out some from a magazine.
Finding pictures and creating memories is super easy with the HP Slate 8 Pro and my HP Envy printer. On top of these pictures she loves the Disney movie Frozen. So we printed out a build a snow man printable and created our own Olaf. The pictures quality was so clear and I love the wireless printing feature.
There are so many great prinatables online to celebrate what makes you and yours happy! Little one cut put the pieces and assembled with clear tape.
The finished product was very cute! She was happy and is looking forward to sharing wit her classmates.

That is a fun idea to do with your kids. I used to love cutting magazines and making collages when I was a kid.

How great is this?! I love the idea of getting her to pick out pictures of what makes her happy. Seeing things through the eyes of a child is always life affirming. We do not have a printer and I often wish we did for things just like this. Looks like we need to get one ASAP!!!

Disney makes our family happy too! I love being with my kids, but sometimes need to stop and remember to take that time with them to listen to their story or really LOOK at the picture they drew….
