Getting together with friends is not always easy. I live in a small rural community far from most of my friends. So when opportunity arises and I can get into the city to meet the girls for lunch, I take it. Lunch is usually accompanied by some sort of shopping trip or outing. We try to spread out the time together as much as possible. It always goes way too fast! I have been very lucky over the years. My blog has brought me many opportunities but also many friendships. Real, true one of a kind friendships. One of my oldest blogging friends is Stacey. We both started around the same time and live some what close by to one another.
After a long winter of going pretty much no where we decided to meet for lunch. We also had another friend along and Stacey’s little guy. A big part of us getting together is being able to sit comfortably and chat. We always have so much to catch up on. We chat about our work (blogging) we chat about the spring and summer plans. We also chat about our kids and families. Like I mentioned, we never have enough time. But that is ok with me. Just means we need to get together more often!
We met up in the city and headed over to Wendy’s for lunch. We both ordered a BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad. But it was so big we ended up sharing one. Then Stacey took the second home for later. Did you know Wendy’s was the first quick service restaurant to bring the salad bar to their customers more than 30 years ago?
Wendy’s has added three exciting new salads to their menu. Salads with lots of variety colour and flavour. You surely will find one that fits your taste. The three salads are Asian Cashew Chicken Salad, BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad and Taco Supremo Salad. These large portion salads are so tasty and very pleasing to the eye. Great for sharing with a friend, eating alone or taking home. They are full of premium warm chicken or chili , fresh veggies and cheese. The savoury dressing is full of flavour and you can add as little or as much as you like. The salads are also 50% lower in fat, 29% lower in sodium and 61% lower in saturated fat. They are prepared daily in the restaurant with 9 different leafy greens, triple washed, waiting for your next girls lunch out.

I like to go for lunch at least once a week. The Wendy's Salad do look really good and a healthy choice for lunch.
The Asian Cashew Chicken Salad sounds really good, as does the Taco Supremo. I live about a 5 minute walk to Wendy's yet never go. I might have to visit this week and perhaps meet a friend for lunch!

The BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad looks delicious! They introduced their salad bar 30 years ago?! WOW! I'm planning on trying the Taco Supremo Salad next time I go. I need to setup lunch with a couple of my friends, thanks for the reminder! Time flies and we often forget about important things like spending time with our friends.
