When Location is everything! Comfort Inn Clifton Hill Niagara Falls

I travel alone with my children quite a bit. They are pretty easy to go away with since two of them are teenagers. They are helpful and enjoy a wide variety of activities. Plus they are great about letting their little sister explore the sites and attractions she is interested in. But when we stay over night there are a few things I really look for. Location is a big one! I want to stay somewhere close to attractions, restaurants and has everything I need, within walking distance if possible.

Breakfast included– when there is breakfast included this helps start our day, as well as budget for our trip. Even a continental breakfast can save us a lot of money. There is often an assortment of fruit, cereal and other breakfast foods that are great for starting the day.

Pool on site– Preferably an indoor pool. this way if the weather is not that great, we still have something to do. A pool is also a great way to end the day when you are not comfortable going out in a new area.

Recently we stayed at the Comfort Inn Clifton Hill Niagara Falls, and it had it all! This hotel is perfectly located directly across from all the action on Clifton Hill. Because of the great location we discovered parts of the Falls we never saw before. Like the nightlife and bowling. We had a spacious balcony that allowed us to watch the fireworks over the Falls as well. This was very exciting for us. A quick walk across the road and the kids and I were mini golfing at night and checking out the night life at Clifton Hill. We even went on a late night ride on the SkyWheel.

The room was a good size with two Queen beds. a coffee maker and lots of room for clothes. There was a TV the teens watched because I fell asleep way sooner than them. There is a fabulous pool with rooms looking over it surrounded by patio styles table and chairs. The breakfast area overlooks the pool and I remember thinking it has a tropical feel with the large trees. The deluxe breakfast served in the large Poolside Café, included scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, fruits, yogurt, delicious muffins, croissants, mini-doughnuts, assorted fruit juices, cereals, and tea and freshly brewed coffee. With parking onsite and security walking around the attractions at night, I loved walking around after dark with the kids.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about events and activities in the area. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and did not want to leave.

Below are some of the pictures from our room

I generally like the Comfort Inn as a good budget travel option. Glad you enjoyed it!

  4. As a family we always visit Niagara Falls in the winter, but we have not stayed over. It would be great to be right in the heart of all the excitement, yet still be comfortable. I love that you had such a great view and easy access to some fun, family friendly events!

  5. This looks like the perfect location, we did a visit to that area a few years back but we were a little further away and we had to get in the car everytime we wanted to go somewhere and then had to find parking, not easy. I love that you could see the fireworks from your balcony and a nighttime sky wheel ride sounds like the perfect way to end a day in Niagara!
