The highly-anticipated second season of Netflix’s ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK goes back behind bars for another sentence with the fearless, funny and unforgettable inmates of Litchfield prison.
From the creator of “Weeds” comes a heartbreaking and hilarious new series set in a women’s prison. Piper Chapman’s wild past comes back to haunt her, resulting in her arrest and detention in a federal penitentiary. To pay her debt to society, Piper trades her comfortable New York life for an orange prison jumpsuit and finds unexpected conflict and camaraderie amidst an eccentric group of inmates.
Season two is exclusively on Netflix in all territories on June 6, 2014.

Recognized by AFI as one of the Top 10 Programs of the Year and recently recognized with a Peabody Award, ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK is from Lionsgate Television, executive produced by Jenji Kohan and based on Piper Kerman’s best-selling book of the same name.
A few months back I tweeted to my followers “Looking for something to watch on Netflix, What do you suggest?” I received an amazing response from them and many highly recommended Orange is the New Black. I quickly found myself engulfed in a mini marathon watching episode after episode eager to see what happened next. The raw and gritty show was like nothing I had seen before. Being in a prison is something we often are clueless about. So Orange is the new black brings you to a world that is unknown. The show focuses on the good, the bad and the O-M-G!
I am looking forward to the new season and can not wait to see the new characters brought onto the show. As well as some of my old faves. I really like “Red” the Russian lady who ran the kitchen. She is a tough cookie but with a motherly heart.
Right now on Netflix you can learn more about each of the characters and catch up on season one. This is a very adult series, full of sexual content, swearing and violence. So make sure the kids are not around when you sit down to indulge. I love how I can laugh and cry all in one episode.
