The new Tide Plus collection brings you more of what you love, giving you the amazing clean of Tide with added benefitslike Febreze scent and Downy softness. To commemorate the launch of this new collection, Tide is taking Plusabilities to the next level, encouraging Canadians to fling out the old and bring in the new!

Tide truck will be visiting prominent family attractions in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal picking up gently used clothing donations to celebrate new beginnings with its not for profit partner, Goodwill.

By donating gently used clothing to Goodwill during Tide Clothing Donation Day events, you’re not only de-cluttering your home, you’re also teaching your kids the value of giving back and the ripple effect, or Plusabilities behind a simple good deed.  Giving your threads a second life can:

·   Give someone confidence going to a job interview

·   Make a kid smile going to class with a cool pair of kicks

·   Enable skills development and employment and work experience for those who face employment barriers

·   Support community-based programs through the funds raised as Goodwill donates 82 per cent of its revenue back

To thank Canadians for their support, upon dropping off a donation they’ll receive a Tide Plus coupon booklet so they can experience more of what they love at home.

Comments

  1. Donating used clothing is a great idea. We try to do this a couple times a year. Too bad the Tide truck is not coming to Ottawa. It would be cool to see it.

  2. We donate often to the Goodwill – even though we may not be using some of our toys and clothing there is someone out there who can put them to great use.

  3. I grew up on Tide and we often donated old clothing to Goodwill. I still pack up my clothes that I'm not wearing, or my girls' clothes that they've outgrown, and take them to a local thrift store. I like the fact that Tide is partnering with local charities. Thanks for sharing!

  4. What a fantastic initiative! If only I lived in one of the great cities listed. My mom used Tide to clean our clothes and it is the only detergent I will use as well.

  5. thank you so much for the heads up on this. I will be attending the one in my area.

  6. I love that Tide is encouraging Canadians to donate clothing to the Goodwill. It's something we already do a few times a year, but making things easy with drop off points and bribes never hurts!

  7. I really like that Tide is behind this donation "party". You hit the nail on the head with the idea of donating nice clothes for someone who could use it for a job interview. First impressions are so important! That and nice clothes really boost a person's confidence 🙂

I am a great fan of Tide but hadn't heard of this New version. I'm looking forward to trying it. My kids grew up on recycled clothing and I know how much I appreciated it. We still pass on clothes to families and charities.
