We sent Amy to check out Crave TO on the weekend. Here is what she had to say
A small, but obviously growing, event in the city, CRAVE-TO featured local food, drinks and talent. Taking place at Wychwood Barns in the north part of the city, it showcased vendors such as The Sassy Lamb cupcakes (I tried my very first bacon cupcake, aka the Great Canadian Mancake, it was divine!), No.7 Hot Sauce which is made in the city and comes in a bunch of flavours and Mis Amigos Catering where my hubby devoured his pulled pork and I sampled my very first deep fried plantain. So yummy!!!
The food trucks were also there in force, ‘We Got Balls’, ‘The Food Dudes’ and ‘Mr. Corn’ among others.
A great way for the local businesses to showcase their offerings, events like this are a fun way for locals to check out what’s in their neighbourhood all in one venue. I’d like to see more of these so I can learn more about what’s around too.

Toronto is currently going through an incredible cultural movement towards local food, craft beer and DJ music culture. CraveTO events celebrate the new, the under the radar, the interesting and the premier independent creators that are inspiring this movement in a fun and social environment at unique Toronto venues.
