Discovering Puerto Vallarta #PVPressTrip

When I was at Puerto Vallarta Mexico last month all I kept thinking about was how much my children would have loved it. Everywhere we went it was obvious how welcomed children were. We were often greeted with open arms and welcomed like no where I have ever been before. The local people are very friendly and kind and so willing to help. One day we headed downtown and were surprised how many people opened their doors for us to peak inside and see what local life and business was like. I enjoyed every minute of my visit and loved learning about the history of the area, the culture of the people and taking in sites like nowhere else. The best way to enjoy yourself on vacation is to jump right in and experience all you can! Below are a few things we did that re great fun if you are planning a trip.

Pirate Ship Tour

The Pirate Ship tour offers two kinds of outings. One is more family friendly and offered in the day time. The other had more of a night club atmosphere and is offered at night. Open bar and great entertainment, this was a fun way to kick off our last night in Puerto Vallarta. The family friendly day time tour offers a variety of activities for a fun day in the sun. While waiting to board the large pirate ship we got to have our pictures taken with parrots and pirates. All crew members are dressed as pirates and do not break character while sailing. Dinner is included and served below. Our meals were really good and we had the lady pirate playing the violin to us while we ate. She was doing rock covers and was quite talented. We finished off the night with a show that included a pirate walking the plank and fire works. It was great fun!

Downtown

One day we had a few hours for our self so a few of us headed downtown. We checked out the market where you can haggle for a great deal and see some local artists at work. We walked along the boardwalk and saw locals as well as tourists enjoying the area. The downtown area is full of interesting building, small bars and restaurants and lots of shops. If it had not been for the heat we could have stayed even longer. Seeing people play beach volleyball and pelicans diving for fish was a lot of fun as well. I picked up some great souvenirs while there for a great price.

Eat in one of the fabulous restaurants

Everywhere we went there was great food. Our hotel had four restaurants with the best Mexican dishes and lots of fresh seas food as well as Japanese sushi.

Go on a boat tour

There are many boat tours offered for anyone who would like to discover more of the area. You can go kayaking, snorkeling, or just take in the sun. There are many species of tropical fish and sea life to be seen as well as many different birds.

Hopefully you have a taste for Puerto Vallarta and all it has to offer. I cannot wait to go back one day and hopefully bring my children. I know they would love it! You can see all there is to do in Puerto Vallarta at their tourism website
