I really appreciate hotels that are fun! You know the ones who decorate and get into the mood when the holidays are around. Cedar Point located in Sandusky Ohio has a great hotel right in the heart of the theme park, Hotel Breakers. Yeah this hotel is directly on the beach and has both an indoor and outdoor pool. Also has three restaurants and is being renovated, but that is not what I loved about it. I loved that from the moment we stepped in we were transformed into a haunted house. Not literally, that I know of. Even though the hotel is over 100 years old, so you never know. But it was decorated for the season.
Lots of Halloween themed decor throughout the halls and lobby. Both inside and out were decorated for Fall with variations of orange and lots of pumpkins. But also a bit creepier with pictures that change as you walk by, creepy sound tracks and a coffin on display. Hotel Breakers at Cedar Point was a fun place to walk around and just enjoy!
My favourite part was a child size television set up in the lobby playing It’s the great pumpkin Charlie Brown over and over.
The room itself was comfortable and we had a view of the park. You are literally in the center of the park with two easy to get to entrances just steps away. Staying at Hotel Breakers also gets you early admission tot he park. Fun if you want to get a jump start on some rides without waiting in long lines. Our room had a fridge that was handy and super friendly staff. As a forgetful traveler I really appreciate when they are willing to send up a toothbrush free of charge because I forgot to pack mine. All this for a very affordable price that makes staying onsite the only option for me.
WiFi was available for free throughout the hotel and parking was included with the room. So no additional costs when traveling on a budget.
I am super excited to bring my family back to Cedar Point and stay in Hotel Breakers. I know they are going to love it!

That is super fun! I can;t believe they are already all decorated for Halloween. That's speedy. I have yet to visit Cedar Point. Maybe next year!
