Last month I had the pleasure of attending my daughters field trip to the local apple orchard with her and her class. It was a rainy day but we had a lot of fun. Wagon rides, apple cider, pumpkin picking and a trail walk through the woods. I got a huge bag of apples and could not wait to get them in some recipes. The first I tried was Apple Crisp. Since it had been a while since I made it, it did not last long. The family ate it up quick loving every bite. The next day I made two more in hopes it would last the week.
Everyone in my family eats their apple crisp differently. I like it in a bowl with a bit of cream. My boys like it with ice cream and everyone else likes it with Cool Whip.

This recipe is very similar to mine except I've learned the kids don't like the oats. Thanks for the idea of eating the apple crisp with cream. Are you talking 1/2 and 1/2 or whole milk??
