Lime Shamrock Punch #StPatricksDay

When it comes to St Patrick’s Day anything you make green can be considered festive! The possibilities are really endless and a lot of fun.  St Patrick’s Day is celebrated March 17th, this year it is on a Tuesday. On St. Patrick’s Day it is customary to wear shamrocks and/or green clothing or accessories (the “wearing of the green“). St Patrick is said to have used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish.

Now a days many just use the day as a reason to party. Any reason to have fun is reason enough for me 🙂  You may be into drinking green beer and staying up late celebrating at one of the many celebrations hosted in your area. Or you may be more laid back and just wanting something fun and family friendly to enjoy. If you are looking for the latter, check out this festive St Patrick’s Day recipe. Very similar to an old fashioned ice cream float, just green.
