The Unflattering side of pregnancy and child birth – The gift of #ahhh with the #HemoclinComfortKit giveaway

pregnancy

Each time I found out I was going to have a baby I had so many emotions take over. I was scared, excited, nervous and proud. With each pregnancy I found I was more confident in knowing what to expect while pregnant and afterwards. Little did I know not all pregnancies are the same, even if you have had a child before. With each birth my children were bigger than those previous and my labour and delivery times were shorter. My first child was born on her due date and everything went well. Other than being a new mom and having some fears, I could not have hoped for a better experience.  My next pregnancy had some complications and I was put on bed rest but delivery was good and he was born just a few days later than expected. The third child and fourth came very quick with no chance of me having medication. My children all were born healthy (with one minor hiccup that did not last long) and I always bounced bad quite quickly. However my fourth pregnancy was not easy as the rest.

I was a little bit older and a lot more experienced, but everything was so different from the first three. I pretty much knew what to expect as far as my weight gain, breast tenderness and strange bodily functions. But there were things I was clueless about and not prepared for. Painful and embarrassing things that I had to go to the Dr about and speak with my pharmacist. Little did I know how common they were. I am unsure if the pure joy of having a beautiful baby makes moms forget all the icky, achy problems or if they just block it out and want to never speak about it again. What happens in pregnancy stays in pregnancy! I realize this is too much information for many, but it is important people do not feel alone, hemorrhoids happen to many moms to be. Hemorrhoids are painful, swollen veins in the anus and rectum.

GREAT post! I haven't personally experienced this, but know quite a few moms who have. I think it's important that moms know that this is part of what can happen when pregnant or after having baby…and that it's part of life. It's not something to be shy or embarrassed about. Thank goodness for moms who are able to share their experiences. I'm sure this will help a few moms out there!
