Gatlinburg is one of my favorite places in the world! It is jam packed filled with activites, attractions, and of course many many restaurants! This is an amazing place to take a couples vacation, a romantic getaway, or even a family vacation! It is perfect for everyone! There is a great amount of restaurants that are local to the Gatlinburg area that are so delicious and a must try when visiting Gatlinburg! So let’s get into those restaurants!

1. Big Daddy’s Pizzeria: I don’t know about all of you, but I am a huge fan of pizza and I could pretty much eat it whenever, wherever! When I was visiting in Gatlinburg I saw this pizza place when driving by called “Big Daddy’s Pizzeria” I was determined that I had to try that place! I wasn’t up for a typical chain Pizza restaurant! I am so happy that I got the chance to eat here, this is some of the best pizza I’ve tried! There is always phenomenal service and the pizza is delicious! They have traditional pizza restaurants as well as specialty pizzas, such as buffalo chicken, cheese steak pizza, BBQ pizza and so much more! All of Big Daddy’s pizzas are cooked in a Wood Fired Brick Oven so they have a really great taste!
2. The Peddler Steakhouse: If you’re looking for a good steak, the Peddler is the place for you! Although it is a bit more on the expensive side, it is definitely worth it! The chef personally comes to your table and allows you to choose your steak and how they cut it for you and every meal includes side dishes and the salad bar! This is a definite must when you are visiting Gatlinburg for a nice dinner out!
3. The Old Mill Restaurant: This one is actually located in Pigeon Forge, but it is pretty close to Gatlinburg! I love this restaurant because it has that close knit, family feel to the restaurant! It is a lot of recipes that are like the homemade, momma’s cooking dishes! I personally really love the Chicken Pot Pie from The Old Mill! There is also an Old Mill shop attached where you can purchase gifts, personalized souvenirs, and so much more!
4. Dick’s Last Resort: Although Dick’s Last Resort is located in various Cities throughout America, I love to visit there while in Gatlinburg! If you don’t know what this restaurant is, it essentially is a restaurant where your server provides everyone with a hat that has some sort of insult towards you and they pretty much make fun of you the whole time! I know that sounds like a horrible time, but it’s all in good fun and it’s a great time as long as you know how to take a joke! Great restaurant!
5. Log Cabin Pancake House: Last but not least, the Log Cabin Pancake House is a great place to go for breakfast! It is such a log cabin, woodsy feel, definitely like a mom and pop place! The food is delicious and they also serve great homestyle cooking for lunch and dinner as well as breakfast! You must try this place!
If you’re vacationing, or living in Gatlinburg and you haven’t tried any of these restaurants before, you really must try these! These are some of my favorite restaurants when I’m staying in Gatlinburg! I would say if you’re going to choose to just go to one of these places, I would choose The Old Mill restaurant because it is really great food and it’s truly like the epitome of Gatlinburg in my opinion!
