Pomegranate Margarita recipe

They say variety is the spice of life and this Pomegranate Margarita is a great example. I am a new fan of the exotic pomegranate fruit, with its tangy and slightly sour sweetness. And guess what I discovered? It makes for a wonderful margarita. Try this one and let me know if you’re coming over to the “red” side.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces gin
  • 3 ounces of Pellegrino Melograno E Arancia (Pomegranate & Orange)
  • 1 Ripe Mango
  • Kosher Salt
  • A Standard Martini Glass holds 5 ounces

Directions: 

1. On a small plate pour enough Kosher salt to evenly coat the rim of a martini glass.
2. Next, slice mango and use a wedge of fruit to wet rim of martini glass.
4 Set rim of glass into Kosher  salt and twist glass until rim is completely coated.
5.Set glass upright and set aside.
6. Fill a martini shaker with ice; add gin, Melograno E Arancia and 3-4 ice cubes.
7. Close and shake martini shaker vigorously .
8. Pour into a mini martini glass rimmed with coarse Kosher salt.
9. Garnish with another wedge of mango.
Serve immediately.
Pomegranate-Margarita
This drink is so great for the summer! It tastes just as good as it looks too! The only issue I have is that I seem to drink them as quick as they can be made. Hope you enjoy it!
