Everywhere I look it seems Fall is here in full force. Today I saw Halloween candy at the store and costumes hanging, waiting for children to pick them out for the fun night. I forgot how quick Halloween sneaks up on us and hope to do some crafts with the kids this month and next. One we will be doing is this adorable Frankenstein Mason Jar craft you see below. This is great for parties, children’s drinks and candy if you choose. Stick with the green colour theme to keep the look of the jar. Follow the easy steps below to make your own with your little one today.
A few simple (and very inexpensive) supplies is all you need to make these cute Frankenstein cups.
Here is how to make the cutest cups for your next Halloween party!
Supplies:
- Mason Jar
- Green Balloon
- Black Balloon
- 2 Googley Eyes
- Scissors
- Hot Glue
- Sharpie
What you need to do
First wash and dry your jars so they are ready for serving.
Then cut off the long skinny part of the green balloon and cut part of the other end of the balloon as well. You want there to be a hole on each end of the balloon.
Stretch the balloon over the bottom half of the cup.
Cut the black balloon like you did the green. On one end you can cut out a bit of angles for Frank’s hair do.
Stretch the balloon over the top half of the balloon.
Lift one end of the balloon on the jar and make a very small slit in the green balloon for the mouth. It will stretch and form an ‘O’ shape on it’s own.
Hot glue two googly eyes onto the balloon.
Using a Sharpie, draw on stitches.
Most of these supplies can be purchased at the dollar store. You can also pick up the themed straws there as they add to the feel of the jars.
I know my six year old is going to love making these and I hope your children do as well. Have fun!
These are super cute!! I will have to make a few for the kiddies 🙂
I love these and I have so many mason jars!
This is a cute craft idea, and no mess.
