Hawaii
It may seem like Hawaii is out of reach for many travelers tourism to Hawaii is on a rise as airlines compete to win clients. This means great deals for you! Winter is also the ideal time to visit if you want to surf as it’s in winter when the big waves roll in. Of course you can always stay out of the water and just enjoy some world-class surfing competitions instead. Another activity that you’ll only be able to experience in winter is humpback whale watching. Four to six thousand whales migrate to the area in winter to mate and give birth.
Philadelphia
The city of brotherly love was recently named the first UNESCO world heritage city in the US and for good reason. The award is given to destinations that have made notable contributions to the world and a stroll through Independence Hall tells the story of the US and the democracy. Better yet the city is easy to reach from both Washington DC and New York City via trains or buses and the rest of North America through regular flights.
Banff National Park

I’ve been to Hawaii 3 times, but the last time was almost 30 years ago, so I and would LOVE to go back there again!
I am planning to visit two of the places on my bucket list actually. So happy about that. Hawaii is a big one that we still hold as an ultimate dream travel escape. I am not able to make that one happen financially quite yet though. Maybe some day. That one requires a huge amount of planning and saving.
Montreal is amazing in winter, freezing, but still a lovely city to visit and lots of skiing.
