Herbamare broth cubes making soup and more #howdoyouherbamare

It is really getting chilly out there! I am making more soups and stews than usual to keep warm. Comfort foods that take the chill out of the air and make you feel good from the inside. Luckily I have a huge supply of veggies from the garden left allowing me a great base for these tasty creations. Nothing helps beat winter blues like warming you from the inside with a yummy soup. Recently I was sent some Herbamare® broth cubes to try out.

Herbamare Broths

Uncompromising Herbamare quality

Sea salt – Like Herbamare infused sea salts, we use the highest quality sea salt for Herbamare Broths.

Organic vegetable palm oil from a fair trade source – Our vegetable palm oil is from a fair trade source and does not cause deforestation of the tropical rain forest. When non-hydrogenated palm oil is consumed in moderation (1 g of fat per 250 mL of Bouillon), the risk of increased blood cholesterol is very low.

Organic maltodextrin – From organic corn culture, therefore non-GMO, it gives the Broths their texture.

Organic cane sugar – This sugar is unrefined and retains its nutrients. Present in very small quantities (1 g per portion), it enhances the Broth’s taste.

Organic yeast extract – Ecological alternative to traditional yeast extract. This non-GMO, organic raw material uses a certified process in adherence with stringent quality standards.

Vegetables, shiitake mushrooms and organic spices – Organic, healthy and tasty!

Organic chicory extract – High in fibre and rich in minerals.

veggie-soup

I made a veggie soup and it was so good! For every cube of Herbamare I added 500 ml of water. Once I had a base I added sliced carrots, onions, zucchini, corn and pasta. I have also added to the sauce of Spaghetti and chili for extra flavour as well as a Shepard pie I made. .

When cooking for my family it is important to me to know what is in the foods I am serving them.

What would you add these flavourful cubes to?

Comments

  1. I would use the cubes to add flavour to our homemade soups that we make all year round. I was brought up with both parents cooking in the kitchen so we learned a lot from them over the years. Now I do that with my own girls. They liked to help put their own signature into their dishes.

  2. I love soup, especially in the winter. These broth cubes sound really tasty.

  3. I’ve never heard of these broth cubes before. But, I don’t really know about broth cubes to begin with and these look great! I love making soups but usually my husband starts it out for me, so I should try these and do it on my own! Would be a nice surprise!

  4. This is a great alternative to having to buy canned broth all the time. I’ll keep an eye out for these.

  5. I also use cubes to add more flavor to the food. I haven’t tried Herbamare, though. I will look for this.

  6. I love adding broth cubes to soups and stews. They really add a lot of flavor.

  7. You can always find boullion cubes in my house at any point. I use them for cooking, and for making broth to drink.

  8. I do make homemade soups and stews – this sounds right up my alley! I will spend time looking over their website – and thank you 🙂
