Spend the Summer with Kobo #OpenUpKobo (Giveaway)

Today we spent the day at the splash pad with friends. We first went for lunch with a friend and her daughter then headed to the park so the girls could play. While the girls played on the climbers then the splash pad, I found a shady spot and started reading my book. I was reading Drew Barrymore’s Wildflower on my new Kobo aura H2O. I was excited to bring it with me as it had been a while since I enjoyed reading a good book. The eReader makes it easy for me to read anywhere, anytime.

I always am sure to pack myself a bag for days like today. A beach towel, my sunglasses, and my Kobo were a few of the items in my bag. My daughter has a ‘just in case bag’ left in the truck as well. You just never know when there will be a beach, park, splash pad or pool we must stop at and visit during our travels.

The girls ran through the water at the splash pad for almost two hours, enjoying the sun and each-other’s company. Coming over to me to grab a drink and snack every few minutes. They thought it was funny to shake off their wet clothes near me. I enjoyed the coolness of the water and the mist from the sprinklers close by. I was not worried about my Kobo aura H2O either as it is waterproof. It is almost like it was made for my life! Long lasting battery, fits easily in my beach bag and water proof 🙂

Waterproof?

Kobo Aura H2O is IP67 certified, which means it is waterproof for up to 30 minutes in 1 metre of water with the port cover closed. Reading on a sun-drenched beach is also encouraged, due to the device’s dustproof design and anti-glare display.

Our family spends so much time by the water during the summer. I plan on catching up on some reading and enjoying my Kobo. Luckily for me it has plenty of room to store so many of my favourite books.
