DIY is Easy with American Standard’s Speed Connect Faucets (Giveaway CAN)

When it comes to home renos, I have lots of ideas but not a big budget. I am very fortunate that I come from a long line of handy people. DIYers who can fix and build pretty much anything they set their mind to. Myself, well I have talents but being ‘handy’ never was one of them until recently. As time passes and I find myself wanting to make changes to our home, I have learned if I want something done in a timely fashion, I need to figure it out and do it myself.

It is not really fair of me to make a to-do list for others since I would not appreciate them doing it to me. Plus it gives me an opportunity to really put myself to the test. Just because I have not done something before, does not mean I can not do it, right?!? I do realize I can call in a professional, but what will I learn? And to be honest, I just can not personally afford to pay someone for something I can figure out on my own.

For example installing a new faucet from American Standard.

We actually just bought the Times Square Monoblock Faucet for our daughter’s bathroom, and although my husband loves it and wants to install the same one in our bathroom, I think I would choose the Fluent Monoblock Faucet instead. I find the Times Square one a bit short for the way our counters are configured, and would prefer a slightly taller option – I think the curved shape of the Fluent Monoblock would allow for slightly more space between the faucet and the countertop.
