Enjoy What is Left of Summer at the Cottage #GreatBlueResorts

The best memories of my childhood are of the weekends we would spend at the cottage. Never far from the lake and always surrounded by friends, we spent most summers just hanging out. We were very fortunate having a place we could go to ‘get away’ whenever we wanted. A place my friends were always welcomed and time just stood still. I miss those days and the slower pace of a family cottage. I often dream of owning a cottage myself as I know the kids would just love it.

We take a lot of road trips and spend most of our days outdoors. All year long you can find us being active and enjoying nature. We love to travel and check out new destinations but we also love to stay local. Enjoying the beauty that is within reach of us is perfect. Finishing up work on a Friday and driving less than an hour to somewhere special is always great. Being able to hang out and relax with no worries and connecting with our children makes me happy.

You and I can actually have this without breaking the bank.

The cottage lifestyle has evolved and changed over the years. There is a new alternative to the traditional cottage, it is cottage resort living.

Cottages designed and built with low maintenance in mind, with all the modern conveniences of home and a lake view. Cottages with resort-inspired amenities to enjoy, like golf, heated salt-water swimming pools, playgrounds and a recreation pavilion, a kids club, social activities and more.

Cherry Beach Resort in Prince Edward County Ontario is a cottage community like this, steps away from Sandbanks Provincial Park. Park model cottage ownership at Cherry Beach Resort starts at just $10,000 down and $379/month for a two-bedroom open-concept pre-owned model that’s only a few years old and like new. The highest priced three-bedroom 2016 model sells for just $139,900 with add-ons available with low interest financing available OAC. All models come with shingled rooftops, low-maintenance vinyl siding and windows and are fully furnished throughout with appliances, air conditioning and a choice of tasteful décor

Best of all no having to lug your stuff back and forth. No renting problems, no time share and pure enjoyment. Plus if you can not spend all of your summer there, hand the keys to your family to use it as well. If you want of course.

Swimming, campfires, sunsets and playing in the sand should be part of every child’s summer. This is what makes memories that last forever.
