Having a Peach of a Time this month!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Loblaws Companies Inc.. All opinions are 100% mine.

Nothing quite says summer like a juicy peach! This summer I have been very fortunate with all of the produce that has come my way. One of my faves is the locally grown peaches fresh off the tree. Ontario peaches are so plump and juicy you can eat them on their own or add them to your favourite recipe.

I enjoy peach salsa, peach cobbler and homemade peach juice. But lately I have been on a smoothie kick and these are perfect for them. I bought a bunch at my local Loblaws store and cut them up. I then washed them and added them to freezer bags. This way I have yummy peaches throughout the Fall and winter months. The ones I left out I add daily to my smoothies.

Peach smoothie recipe

What you will need

1/2 cup of yogurt

1 banana

1 peach washed and sliced

1/2 cup of frozen mango slices

2 apricots pitted and sliced

1/2 cup of orange juice

Add all of the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and drink right away.  This recipe makes two large glasses.

I enjoy this for breakfast as it is a refreshing way to start my day feeling energized.
