Right now there is a horrible virus going through my daughter’s school. It seems every year something new pops up and it gets trickier and trickier to fight the germs off. We just had a nasty cough and cold go through our home. Luckily it did not last too long! With kids in school it is pretty much guaranteed that we will all get it sooner or late. How to fight Cough and Colds
Drink lots of water. Water helps keep you hydrated and flush away what your body does not need/want.
Wash your hands. Wash after using the bathroom, touching anything in public settings , sneezing after visiting with anyone who is ill. Also wash your hands before cooking, eating and visiting with the elderly. Wash for at least 20 seconds and use soap. Get in between your fingers, under your nails and your lower arms.
Sneeze into a tissue or your arm.
Wipe surfaces with alcohol based cleansers. Keyboards, phones, door knobs etc should all be wiped down routinely.
Keep active. Being active and excising helps your immune system fight off illness.
Get lots of sleep. Being well rested helps your body fight germs.
