A Spectacular Family Vacation in Punta Cana

Punta Cana is on the eastern side of the Dominican Republic and there are beaches that are located on both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.  The weather is warm all year and there is little rain.  Many families enjoy going to Punta Cana, because they can spend quite a bit of time together as a family outside and have fun without spending a lot of money.

Of course, no child or any other member of the family is going to want to sit on the beach all day long.  Thankfully there are many more places to explore while in Punta Cana.  The Fun Fun Cave has a little something for everyone.  Adults and children alike will love walking through the natural caves as they are spotting the underground river.

More adventurous families will want to venture out on an outback jungle safari in an open sided safari truck.  During the jungle safari tours, people will even have an opportunity to play with exotic animals and tour chocolate and fruit plantations.

There are dozens of trails for families to hike at the Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park.  Along many of the trails, there are lagoons for people to stop at to rest and reflect on their day.  This is the best place to see the protected Ridgway Hawk.  At the end of the day, many people like to stop at the petting zoo and iguana habitat before heading back to their hotel.

Dolphin lovers will want to sail over to Dolphin Island to swim and play with the dolphins.  The entire family will love spending time with these dolphins as well as sea lions, manta rays and nurse sharks.  It is a wonderful way to see more of the Dominican Republic without going too far from Punta Cana.  It is definitely an opportunity that many people would not want to miss.

One of the top attractions in all of Punta Cana is the Manati Park Bavaro.  The entire family will be able to walk through a Taino Village and watch people perform inside the village.  Around the village, there is a tropical garden setting, which is perfect for walking and sightseeing.  Throughout the day, sea lions, horses and parrots perform for shows and there is also a dolphin encounter program.  There are many different animals and snakes that visitors are allowed to pet, hold and learn more about too.

Punta Cana is a fabulous place to go on vacation as a family, because there is so much to do without spending ten times of the planned budget.  This is a vacation that will be memorable and everyone will be talking about it for many years to come.
