Flash was inspired by Noah, a courageous young boy that was diagnosed with Pompe disease back in 2011 at the age of two. Pompe disease is a rare genetic disease that affects muscle growth, and in Noah’s case, it means an enlarged heart.
Flash encompasses Noah’s favourite colour orange, while the rainbow tie reflects his happy disposition despite the many challenges of having a serious illness. The bow tie also represents Noah’s love for looking dapper wherever he goes.
Starlight Canada and Toys “R” Us have been partners for over 18 years. Through their support of amazing team members and customers, Toys “R” Us Canada has raised over 16 million dollars for Starlight.
100% of the proceeds from the sale of Flash will be donated to Starlight to continue to help brighten the lives of seriously ill kids, like Noah through in and out-of-hospital programs.

My daughter was seriously ill when she was 8, our local hospital almost had to transfer her to Vancouver Childrens hospital , but she stabalized and we were transfered to the hospital in a neighboring town,(ours at the time didn’t have a pediatric dept.) having taken her to emerg at midnight I only had my purse,with me, even my husband didn’t know we were transfered…..i ended up staying with her for 10 days and Starlight was there for us, even gave me a care package with toiletries ect..
