Pro: You Can Sleep Almost Anywhere

One of the main pros of traveling in an RV is that you are taking your bedroom with you. So there is no need to book a lot of motels and hotels along the way. Instead, you can just pull up in an RV park and get settled in for the night. There are numerous RV parks dotted around the country, so you won’t have to drive too far to find your next one. Alternatively, you could always just pull up in a carpark or on the side of the road to spend the night. However, it is a good idea to double check that the car park allows overnight stays. Not all of them do, and you could end up getting fined.

Con: It’s Not A Glam Vacation

Even if you buy the fanciest RV on the market, there is no way of making this type of vacation a glitzy five-star affair. Most RVs and camper vans are quite basic, even the most expensive. But regardless of this, you can be sure that your RV will be super comfy and cosy, and will feature all the basic amenities that you will need during your trip.

Pro: Kids Love It

Your kids will absolutely love hitting the open road and exploring different towns and cities. It will certainly inspire their sense of adventure. Especially if you are taking some long drives through the rural wilderness! The kids will also think it’s great that everything fits into this van. They won’t have to reach too far to find a refrigerator stocked full of goodies! And they will certainly enjoy the quirky sleeping arrangements.

Con: Expect To Make A Lot Of Decisions

Once you get out onto the road, you will be the captain and every decision is down to you. No matter how big or small, there will be a lot to decide on. Even if you have planned out all of your journey in advance! There will be small decisions such as what to have for dinner and what you should do each day. So, if you are expecting a relaxing vacation that doesn’t involve a lot of decision making, maybe a RV vacation isn’t the right choice for you!

As you can see, there is a lot of good and bad when it comes to RV trips. But I’m sure that once you set off, you will have a great time away!
