Visit Loblaws for Pharmacy Awareness Month and all of Your Health needs

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Loblaws Companies Inc.. All opinions are 100% mine.

Most people do not realize all the resources they have available to them so close to home. Many years ago, if you needed to see a dietitian you needed to have a referral from your doctor. Pharmacists were readily available, but they are now able to provide education and care like never before. All this is now offered in a place you happen to find yourself on a weekly basis anyway: the grocery store.

In today’s day and age, we are all too quick to self-diagnose and to look for answers to simple and complicated problems online. This can cause unneeded anxiety and can often lead to more problems. Speaking to a professional is convenient and important; it is also easier than you would think. All you have to do is visit a Loblaws Pharmacy today to see.

Loblaws Pharmacists offer patient education programs, and they work closely with in-store Dietitians (where available in select stores) to help patients achieve their health goals. The pharmacy team is committed to providing personalized care and quality service. With convenient hours of operation, Loblaws Pharmacists strive to provide patients with the highest level of service.

This year,  I am committed more than ever to getting my health on track. Eating right, being active and communicating with my Dr are all parts of this. However, it is not always easy to get in to see the Dr, and having these valuable professionals readily available, at little or no cost to you, is great. Some services do have a fee, but they are there with advice when needed.

Looking to get healthy and find important information for you and your family? Join the Loblaws Facebook Live event  on March 22 at 8pm to get your questions answered. Tune into the Loblaws Facebook page to hear and learn from their in-house pharmacists and dietitians, and to ask them your questions.

There is so much we do not know when it comes to our health. As we grow and our family grows, our needs change. My goal of a healthier life includes losing weight. I am finding my body reacts differently to certain foods, and there are things I should be avoiding. Even more important than losing weight, I want to feel good. I want to fuel my body and help myself fight off anything that may come my way. I have been making small changes with some success, but I cannot do it alone. Being able to talk to a pharmacist about medications, my children and my own health as well as a dietitian is a game changer. I feel like I have the tools I need to reach my goals and to continue on my healthy journey.

A few weeks ago, we were all very sick. It felt like we were never going to get better. Some of us were on prescriptions, and while others were taking over-the-counter medications. The Loblaws pharmacist was able to offer suggestions on what to take, what to avoid, and which foods would help us on the road to recovery.

Focus on good health and take advantage of this great resource next time you are at Loblaws.  Loblaws Dietitians offer one-on-one nutrition counselling, hold in-store workshops and more. They even offer educational grocery store tours for people to help them shop better.

Have you had a chance to take advantage of these great resources yet? Stop in and ask a Loblaws pharmacist your questions today!
