Improve Your Curb Appeal With A New Front Door

Curb appeal is the attraction that bystanders and potential buyers feel for a property at first glance. If you are planning on putting your house up for sale on the market, you will want to make sure that the exterior of your home can turn heads. If you want to improve your home’s curb appeal, you will need to spruce up your front entrance and get a new door

You should renovate your front entrance for the sake of curb appeal because it is the focal point of your home. The door is one of the first things that a passer-by will notice when looking at your property, so you will want it to make a good and lasting impression—if the door looks old or dingy, it could impact your home’s chances of enticing buyers. You can also increase the value of your property with a brand-new entry door, especially if it is a high-quality replacement.

Before you start your front entrance renovation, you should find a local door company to see what door designs, materials and options they have available. Choose a reliable window and door company like Golden Windows, which has over fifty years of experience helping builders and renovators please their clients. The company offers two wonderful entry systems for you to select and customize for your specific needs: the GoldenClad entry system and the GoldenWood entry system. Both of these systems bring specific aesthetic and functional benefits that can increase the value of a property.

GoldenClad Entry System:

  • Selection of steel and fiberglass panels, which are materials with strong insulating properties
  • The aluminum-clad frame is maintenance-free
  • Customizable panels, sidelites, grilles and more
  • A variety of options for door colours

GoldenWood Entry System:

  • Selection of finger joint pine, clear pine, clear oak or clear mahogany for frames
  • The sill is designed to be an efficient drainage system
  • Customizable panels and decorative glass
  • A variety of options for wood stain

After selecting your desired entry door for your home, you should have it painted a bright colour. In order to add maximum curb appeal with paint, choose a colour that complements the exterior of your property — for example, the hue can contrast or match the flowers in your garden or the shutters on your windows. If you choose to install a traditional wooden door or if you want your fiberglass door to be a classic shade like white or beige, highlight your entrance with colourful plants. If you frame your front entrance with lush potted flowers or ferns, the buyer’s eye will be drawn to the area and they will notice the quality of the door.

Get rid of your old and dingy front door, and install a high-quality replacement from an experienced local company. Have the door painted in a bold colour or frame it with bright flowers to catch the attention of passers-by. Your revamped front entrance will be sure to boost your home’s curb appeal and make your property the hottest commodity on the block.

Our back door is used a million times a day to let out 4 dogs in & out of the house. I hated the door. Dinged up & dirty & scratched. We painted out kitchen 3 weeks ago & last week I did the some trim work. I decided what the heck I am going to paint that door because it can’t look any worse. Amazing. It looks brand new. Not only curb appeal but man I great I feel every time I use that door. My mental health is better …if that makes sense 🙂
