Support the Kellogg’s Rice Krispies #TreatsForToys program Giveaway

This time of year there is no shortage of charities for people to support. If you are in a position to give, it is always a nice time of year to help others. One of my favourite programs to support this time of year is the Kellogg’s Rice Krispies #TreatsForToys program. The nice thing about this one is your support is needed in a fun way and goes to a great cause.

Kellogg’s Rice Krispies #TreatsForToys program

The Salvation Army wants to encourage Canadian families to create a toy-shaped Rice Krispies treat and submit a photo on or share it on social media using the hashtag #TreatsforToys.

For every photo uploaded or shared on social, Kellogg’s Rice Krispies will donate $20 to The Salvation Army for the purchase of a real toy for a Canadian child in need during the holidays. Make. Share. Give. These three simple steps will help create lasting memories for children to cherish for a lifetime.

When I was a teen mom I actually went to a school run by the Salvation Army. I saw first hand how they support the people in their community. Since then the Salvation Army has been an organization close to my heart and I try to give back however possible. Because of them I was able to continue going to school during a difficult time. Not only did they provide young moms with an education, they also provided meals for those attending and housing for anyone who needed it. One of my favourite memories was the Christmas party they held for the expecting moms and those with new babies. When it was time to leave the program they encouraged us to come back during the holidays for food and toy hampers if needed. Their love and support warmed my heart and I will always remember how they helped me and many others during that time.

If you are looking for an affordable way to give back this holiday to season I suggest you do this fun initiative. Create a treat and share it online to help this wonderful cause. There is a child out there who will be happy you did!

One lucky Canadian reader is going to win a fun prize pack just like the one pictured above. Then you can Make. Share. Give. Fill out the form below for your chance to win. Good luck!
