If you are a blogger who has started to receive products and letters from your readers and brands, you will want to think about whether or not you want all of this post coming to your home address. Giving out your address to people is not only a risk but it can disturb your day when parcels keep turning up at the door. To avoid this from being an issue you can get a P.O. box. But why do you need one?

  1. Security

A P.O. box is a postal box owned by you which is situated at a post office. It is surrounded by good security and you can only access the box with a key. Just like having a virtual physical address for your post, a P.O. box can be incredibly useful because it prevents you having to give out your home address to e dry Tom, Dick and Harry- and because of this the whole process is much more secure.

  1. Fast Delivery

The beauty of having a P.O. box which is inside the list office is faster deceivers of your items. Normally when you order an item it will travel to your local post office, and then the post office will sort through it and get it delivered to you the next day. However if they don’t need to send it directly to you, it means you can just go and pick it up right away.

  1. Privacy

When you are a blogger or influencer you are already putting a huge amount of your life on display for others to see. It can become dangerous to reveal too much of your life because there will always be people out there who want to take advantage or hurt you. By keeping your address private this just gives you the peace of mind that even if your fans know your favourite colour, they can’t just show up at your home. It is always important to keep some of your personal information to yourself.

  1. Affordable

You may thing that a P.O. box would be expensive to rent, but it really isn’t too bad at all. If you want to rent the box for a period of 6 months for example, you could get this deal for as low as $10. Make sure that you get the right size for the volume of stuff you think you will receive because if you don’t you will have to keep going back to empty it.

  1. Permanent Address

If you are someone who moves around a lot in their lives, it can be difficult for your friends and family amongst others to know where to send your post. By renting out a P.O. box it gives you a permanent address of residence for your letters to be sent to. This makes life much easier for everyone who needs to send you letters such as the government, energy companies or car insurers.

  1. I’ve considered getting a PO Box because I honestly don’t like giving out my personal address to everyone.

LOL where I live you have a PO BOX. There is no house to house delivery, never has been , never will be. Everyone in town (we all share the same postal code) goes to the post office and has a key to their box and if there’s a parcel, thats where you get it from. City folk don’t know how good they have it. I tend to try to get the mail on the way to work (I walk right past it) but if there’s a parcel I’m sort of screwed , esp if its heavy or big (mostly books cus I love my books)
